Our Studio
Our photography studio offers our clients a number of options tailor-made for their individual needs.
HEADSHOTS: A studio is great for individual and business headshots; most take less than 15 minutes and you'll see the results before you leave. We'll always take more shots if you are not happy with the first results.
FULL LENGTH: Clients sometimes need full-length photographs showing them wearing different outfits or to show them on special occasions. Graduation, proms and maternity shots are typical full length poses.
BABIES & TODDLERS: We also encourage parents to bring in their children to be photographed featuring holiday themes: New Years, Valentine's Day, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are especially popular. Newborns, cake-smashes, or birthdays are always fun, both indoors and outdoors. Parents like the warmth of our studio for young children, especially newborns. The studio also makes cleaning up messy faces super easy, not to mention changing diapers. We recommend props that parents can bring to make these shots really special.
FAMILIES: We photograph parents with their children in a typical family setting. The studio can only accommodate small groups of adults with their children or grandchildren. We head outside to Nims Lakes for larger family groups.
ENGAGEMENTS: Engagement photographs are done in our studio if the weather is bad outside and the couple need their "Save the Date" photograph as soon as possible. We'll direct them to our on-line printer who can produce those cards and envelopes to mail out to their friends and family. The invitations will be shipped directly to their homes.
BRIDALS: Bridal portraiture in our studio is fairly common. Brides are reluctant to get their sparkling new gowns dirty and prefer the clean studio to the outdoors. They don't have to worry about getting hot and fixing makeup or hair is just a step away.
WEDDING FORMALS: It's not usual, but sometimes a newlywed couple prefers to spend as much time with their guests as possible and asks to come back after the wedding for their formal portraits. Bad weather can also make formal portraits in a studio a better option. Easily done before the rentals have to be returned.
PRODUCTS: The studio is designed for product photography. This is where we can spend hours carefully adjusting our lighting for the absolute best results. We can come back the next day with more products and the lighting will be identical; the entire shoot will have the same lighting throughout.
ABOUT OUR STUDIO
Our studio is warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Perfect when the weather outside doesn't allow for photographs at Nims Lake. The studio has it's own dressing area: plenty of table space for makeup, lots of bright, color-balance lighting, plus big mirrors. It has it's own sink and private bathroom. We offer black, white or gray backgrounds, but can provide additional colors upon request. We have limited parking in front of the studio, but more just a short walk away.
The studio is located at 415 Nims Lake Road. A "studio" sign will direct you to the left near the bottom of Nims Lake Road (if you've gone past the mailboxes you've gone too far).
